At Killarney Metals, we make all types of pans. Drip pans, catch pans, troughs, drain pans and even some custom pans that don't have names. We know how to make pans and people know that we can be trusted to provide a quality pan that will give them reliable safety.
So with all these safety pan types how do you know what to order? Below we have given some descriptions of different safety pans to help:
- Drip Pan - a drip pan is generally larger in size but can also come in smaller
sizes for custom applications. Drip pans perform the duty of catching and holding
liquids. Oil drips are the most common use of the drip pan. The walls of a drip
pan are medium height going up to 6 inches.
- Drain Pan - a drain pan is essentially a drip pan that is equipped with
a drain. So a drain pan will have a precut hole in one or more of the walls or the
bottom where a drain spout or pipe fitting can be attached.
- Catch Pan - a catch pan is generally a smaller pan that has a larger wall
size for retaining both liquid and solid material in a smaller area. Catch pans
are common used smaller applications where emptying of the pan can be performed
often.\
- Trough Pan trough pans are longer and rectangular in shape. They are
uses to direct the contents in the trough to a particular area. Pumps may be installed
in trough pans to remove the liquid. Because the contents in a trough pan may be
reused, a cover is often placed on a trough pan to prevent contaminant from getting
in the pan.
