Containment Pans - Simple Environmental Solutions
 

A containment pan, a simple drip or drain pan, can be the most effective environmental solution in preventing environmental accidents.  In a time when going Green is critical from a business and environment standpoint, finding cost effective measures to diminish your company’s environmental impact is important.  Sometimes environmental solutions have a major monetary impact on a business’ budget.  However, where there is a will to be environmentally aware there is certainly a way.  Sometimes that way is a simple containment pan.  

Simple, Low Cost and Extremely Effective - Containment Pans Saving the Environment

Needless to say, drip pans are not the most glamorous of products.  In fact, Killarney Metals recently received the ”Least Sexy Product” award (unofficially) at the 2012 NFMT tradeshow.  But if you are able to look past the bland nature of containment pans, looking deeper you will find something very exciting about drip pans - they are a Green product and they don’t cost much.

If you want to implement measures to make your facility, production line and/or fleet greener and more environmentally friendly, put a containment pan in it.  As an environmental solution, a drip pan can eliminate the possibility of fluid leaking from machinery into the ground or water table.  A drip pan can buy precious time for people to react to unexpected leaks and spills - time enough to stop a spill from affecting the environment.  

Environmental Solutions - Containment Pans Promote Recycling

The drip pan can be the ultimate recycling tool.  We have bins for cans and paper but what about recycling leaking oil and other fluids?  As an environmental solution the containment pan allows for the catching of fluid and with the installation of a simple pump, what was once waste can now become recycled fluid to go back into the production equipment. 

Solid Scrap Containment Pans

Containment pans are not only useful in catching liquids.  How about the solid scrap that is created in production facilities?  Containment pans can be used to catch and hold shards of metal, plastic and other materials, food waste and byproducts, etc.  Catch trays are environmental solutions that allow you to control how your solid waste is handled.  Why allow scrap to end up on the floor where it can migrate to the exterior of your facility without being properly contained.  Use scrap bins, parts trays and other solid waste handling pans to ensure the proper disposal of solid scrap.
